  • Located in central Taiwan, Alishan is a renowned high-mountain tea-growing region, known for its cool, mist-covered slopes and pristine natural environment.

Situated at elevations between 1,000 and 1,600 meters, the tea farms here benefit from a unique combination of cool temperatures, abundant rainfall, and rich, well-drained soil. These conditions produce tea leaves with a remarkable balance of sweetness, floral notes, and depth.

Our tea farm is a small, family-run operation, passed down through generations, where traditional tea-making methods are honed and refined. The farmers meticulously hand-pick the tea leaves, often processing them with an additional roasting step to bring out deeper, more complex flavors.

The result is a tea that reflects both the natural beauty of Alishan and the craftsmanship of its farmers, celebrated for producing some of the finest oolong teas in the world.

Origin Story

  • Much like our unroasted Alishan Oolong, this tea offers a rich and complex tasting experience, but with more warmth and depth.

The flavor is layered with notes of roasted barley, toasted almond, and a hint of stone fruit, all complemented by the deep, warming sweetness of caramel and baked apple. These roasted elements are beautifully balanced by the oolong’s natural buttery and floral characteristics.

The finish is smooth and lingering, with a mellow roasted aftertaste and a touch of honeyed sweetness. Its full-bodied, velvety mouthfeel adds to the tea's comforting and grounding quality, with each infusion deepening the roasted flavors while revealing delicate sweetness.
